Hi Gary, I don't know the version. We moved from 2.0 to sharepoint services
2007. Also I am not much help because the checkin and checkout has been
disabled on our site. If I use the shift+enter it brings me directly to a file
download dialogue.
Does your site have the accessibility mode?
According to our documentation these menus should be brought up in a new window
with the shift+enter. Are you using IE 6 or 7. if you are using IE 7 the menu
may be coming up in a new tab rather a new window.
You might want to talk to your sharepoint administrator to make sure they
haven't disabled something you need.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

Do you know what version of sharepoint you are using?

Subject: JAWS and SharePoint / Team Connect

JAWS user group,
I use JAWS with SharePoint / Team Connect for the sharing of folders and
documents.
When you want to update a particular document in a folder using Microsoft the
document first needs to be 'checked out' so that you have exclusive update
rights. To do this you go to the document 'link' and push shift-enter. This
brings up a small menu and one of the menu options is 'check out'. Menu nor
menu options can't be seen using Ctl-F or Ins-F7 for links.

This is obviously very visually intensive and was wondering how else one could
check out a document. SharePoint or Team Connect runs under Internet Explorer.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gary
