JAWS and Omni Page 14

Hello Group
I purchased Omni Page 14 and installed it. The one thing I can not do is
select the scanner using JAWS. I go to options and think I have selected
the scanner, but when I go to use the program it does not find the scanner?
I am not doing something right because when I try to do a scan it ask me to
load the file name instead of starting the scan which tells me it does not
have a scanner selected.
Can you tell me how to select the scanner using JAWS?
I am using a Pentium 4 2.4 GigHz, 512 Meg RAM, 60 Gig of free hard drive
space, HP 5400C scanner, JFW 5.00.812.
