JAWS and Google docs spreadsheets

I'm hoping some folks can help me out here, because we're running into a snag.

I belong to a concert committee here in Seattle that has begun using the
following link, which is essentially the google documents feature.

With this, we can all edit both word files that are uploaded and also use a
feature that is an online spreadsheet. It is supposed to allow us to update
concert information and things along that line. Visually, it acts like Excel
would. However, I can not get it to work well with JAWS. Come to think of it,
I can't get it to work at all with JAWS, and whatever it does read, it is

I had a sighted friend of mine helping me earlier, and he was saying that there
was a disconnect regarding what JAWS was reading and the actual location of the
cursor. They weren't in synch.
Since then, we've created another document that we can test out (for whoever
would like to try it) using a gmail account I created.

Has anyone used this, and can anyone help me with any pointers? We spent hours
doing it and came up with hardly anything. We tried seeing if it was indeed
like using Excel, and Dennis noticed that JAWS worked well with Excel but when
it was online, in that particular spreadsheet application, it wasn't doing much.

So, who's up for the challenge? Let me know and I'll give you the necessary
information to log on and look at the spreadsheet with google.
