Do those albums have .cue files? If so, you can use a program called CueSplitter that does the job without to mutch difficulty. That's how I split all my trance mixes.
http://www.enfis.it/downloads.php
There's links to download installer, or download packed zip. I think the packed zip is just so taht you can place it wherever you want and the installer will make shortcuts for you on start menue etc etc, for eas of use. CHose whichever is easiest for you. Once it's intsalled, open the prog, go to file, open cue file.
Brows to wherever your .cue file is, and press enter on it, now set the values that show up when you do a tab. I'm not good at explaining this, but it shouldn't be to difficult. Press the split button , and it will ask you to select a folder, it's the standard treeview ok cancel dialogue for doing this. This one has a create new folder button, so if you want to create a new folder, for cd1, or whatever, you are open to do this.
Hit ok, and it will split! For a 1cd cue file, it takes about 30-45 seconds to split a 20 track album. HOpe this helps someone! Post here if you are having trouble!

hi,
mp3direct cut may do the job properly since it has been designed on
this purpose. but, you'll have to scroll through the file and place
the cue point and then, split the stuff up.
A script has been developped for the program but it's in french. I
can try to translate if there are enough persons needing and it
depends also on my free time. :) goldwave is certainly a really good
alternative, not free but the trial version must get your job done.

Hello All,

I am new to this list and am a music lover and JAWS 7.1 user. I have
several
albums that have been made into single mp3 files and have recently
found a
couple of programs that will extract certain wrap formats;
unfortunately,
they aren't the formats that I have. I have no idea what software
created
the albums that I have, but my question is: does anyone have any
software
that will extract the files from entire album mp3 files and is also
JAWS
compatible.

Take care,

John
