This has been discussed recently on hte list as a few of us have reported this. My initial was response was to suggest restarting your PC and you'll find that contacts stops working, then go back in to contacts, and before you move to any contacts, go to the view menu and change the view to either list or details. Unfortunatley after posting that suggestion it became apparent that the probelm still occured, but in my pexerience it didn't happen so much. My other solution woudl be to type the name of the person in the search box on the start menu. This will then allow you to select the contact record from there and go straight in to it. It's not ideal though and it then doens't allow you to navigate your contacts full, but its a bit of a work around. The problem you mention though doesn't happen all the time so stick with it. Windows contacts I find is actually quite good other than that. I thought that was my computer being really stupid! Now if anyone can put an answer on this, or teach us how to get back to the classic addressbook, that would be fantastic! My name is Jake and I just joined the list a few moments ago. I have a question pertaining to the use of Windows Vista with JAWS. Actually this kind of involves the System Access screen reader too, but I'll get to that. I have JAWS version 9, and am using Windows Vista. I'm not certain which version of Vista it is though. For the most part, I am finding JAWS version 9 to work great. However, I am having a problem with my Windows Contacts. I have attempted to launch Windows Contacts from the Start menu, and also from Windows Mail. JAWS is only reading one or two of the contacts, but I know there are more in there because I added them myself. After that JAWS just stops dead in its tracks, and when I try to exit Windows Contacts I get a message from JAWS saying "Windows Contacts not Responding." This also happened when I tried them with System Access. I had a neighbor come in here and see if anything happened on the screen, but he couldn't find anything. He tried moving the mouse around a bit and was able to exit Windows Contacts. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I need to correct an email address for one of my contacts. Thanks a lot. Jake __________ NOD32 2808 (20080120) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com
