Hi Cindy,

This type of reading 'off the cursor' is often (note often) due to
colour or display settings. Check whether you are using Windows Classic
colours and scheme. It sounds bizarre but it can be due to JAWs seeing a
non-standard colour as being a highlight colour.

I don't know if this is the problem, but give it a try.  Go to the
Current
View sub menu in OE and check if "group messages by conversation is 
checked".
Hitting enter will either check or uncheck this item.
