Switching to Jaws 11.0 has resulted in truncated pronunciation to the point that some letters and words are barely understandable. However, I've wondered if JAWS would behave differently if the "JAWS lost focus" message were turned off in the insert-v menu. I'll hazard a whimsical question I've asked myself but haven't tested. If JAWS didn't make that announcement, would our sense of our JAWS experience revert to pre-11 versions, when we just adapted to this quirk of JAWS? I remember pausing a moment when switching applications and doing other tasks, as if I knew focus would temporarily go away. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *From:* jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] *On Behalf Of *Cy Selfridge *Sent:* Sunday, May 02, 2010 4:34 PM *To:* jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx *Subject:* JAWS 11, MS Outlook 2007 Hi All, Most interesting in that JAWS 11 seems to lose focus or something when I quickly go from one folder to another in Outlook 2007. This seems to happen particularly to the "In Box" when I go from "deleted items". All I get when I try to read a line is "blank". Now, if I go to, say, "junk ", read a line and then return to the in box then all is, again, well. It just seems that JAWS 11 seems to have problems tracking to and fro. It also is slow to pick up information on the new folder such as how many items and so on. It will retain the number of items from the previous folder for a few seconds, say like 20 or so. Any thoughts? Cy, The Anasazi n
