Hi again Roger,

My search found taskkill.exe, but unfortunately it's on the Vista partition
of my hard drive, which I don't use a lot as Vista runs quite slow on my
computer. I tried to set up a hot key in Windows XP that pointed to
taskkill.exe on my Vista partition, but get an error message
that taskkill.exe is not a valid win32 application. I gues this will only
work in Vista.

Thanks,

Russell

Hi,
You can also make a hot-key using the following line to remove Jaws from
memory.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\taskkill.exe /f /im jfw.exe

Yes I am also on my xp pro service pack 3.
I notice that if I start with jaws 9 it is ok then go to 10 it is
sluggish and gets worse the longer the pc is running, and also after 10 has
been running and do a insert f4 it takes a while for jaws to stop speaking,
and then if you do the insert f4 to turn off jaws 10 and say ok, then start
jaws 9 it has some of the jaws 10 trats.

I found the only way to solve this is to completely shut down and
restart the pc.

I know ther is a keystroke to unload the jaws memory, but I can not
remember it and can not find it.

        Does anyone know the keystroke?

I've noticed since installing the first JAWS 10 beta that my Vista
machine takes a good 10 to 30 seconds before I hear the log off sound.

If I unload JAWS it goes back to normal and I hear the log off
sounds almost instantly after choosing to log off.

Is anybody else having this issue. Sometimes it can take quite a
while to log off.

        Peter
