For being an SMA upgrade, I would have liked to seen a lot more existing issues addressed and more new featured introduced. I can't see myself using the new auto forms feature for example and if anything else, I would imagine finding it to be more of an annoyance. I'm aware that this particular feature isn't necessarly geared towards me as a reasonabl experienced Jaws user, but since it's mentioned as a main feature in the upgrade, I just can't get myself worked up about it. The dictionary manager and voice profiles are interesting since I use the English, Spanish and German languages offered in Jaws, but really, I would have liked to seen the ability to have more entries in the dictionary manager expanded more than the current 1000 as well. The RealSpeak voices sound much nicer than the eloquence ones, but not being able to get the speach rate with RealSpeak to speak faster makes me not want to use them for more than a short period of time. I don't want to sound like a downer, but again, for being a full SMA upgrade and considering what the SMA costs, and the update being a full jump from 9.0 to 10.0 I am rather underwhelmed. Again, hopefully as the beta evolves, more features will be announced? Just my two scents. The auto forms mode is nice, but not absolutely necessary. And the voice profiles feature is just a gimmick. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, August 22, 2008 3:32 AM Subject: JAWS 10 > Hi all, I've just finished listening to the FSCast regarding JAWS 10, and > the new features, well, I'm going to like them I think.
