Hi Rick,
Going by your description, no, it has not been fixed.
I experience this everyday whether Jaws is running as an application, or service. I have only had the oppourtunity to check this on one system, so I haven't reported it to FS yet.
I want to get some more specifics before I talk to them.

Subject: Is the Virtual buffer bug fixed?

Hi Everyone,

As you know FS has stated that they have fixed the problem that was causing the virtual buffer problem with IE7, OE, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat reader. Since installing build 2173 I have had 3 virtual buffer problems in less than a week. I'm not a power internet surfer. I have many places I go to regularly. I know some here are much more into the net than I am here and use it all day for their work.

I describe a virtual buffer problem as opening a page or refreshing a page and jaws doesn't read the page. jaws will not arrow up or down the webpage. Switching to the jaws cursor andarrowing up and down displays the web page that is currently up on the screen.

I have had the problem occur on my website once, audible once and myspace once. I can't duplicate the problem so FS can't do anything about it. I am going to report the problem to FS tonight though anyways as they need to know just because they can't duplicate it and say the problem is no more. That may not be true. If you are having the problem then we all need to report this problem to FS otherwise you will have to live with it as they say its fixed.

So my question to everyone here is, do you feel the problem still exists? How many of you out there still encounter the problem more than once a week?

Thanks,

Rick
