Gerald, on my other computer I installed avast while AVG 7.5 free was still on
it, but I first disabled all parts of AVG from running. This way AVG would not
run on startup. The next day I removed AVG from my system.

You'd have to disable any live monitoring the two programs do whilst your
owkring otherwise they both might try and access files at the same tim.

If you decide to disable the live monitoring, I see no reason to have both
programs on your PC at the same time as the benefits of one over the other
would be disadvantaged by the fact that your not even using the applications in
the way they are intended.

  I woudln't bother.

Hi, i do not think you can install 2 different antivirus to a computer. I
remember installing avast when kaspersky was installed and avast stopped
installation since it detected the other antivirus.
  regards.

Is it okay to install both AVG and Avast on the same computer and schedule
them to run at different times? Or are they mutually exclusive? Thanks.
