Another way to use the Find dialog to search for bolded characters is to just press Control+b after pressing Control+f to bring up the dialog. Then press Enter to get to the first instance.

Hi Eileen and all,If you're doing this in Word, it's quite possible to use the find dialog totake you from one instance of bole text to another. 1. Open the fine dialog with control+f. 2. Tab to the "more" button and press spacebar. 3. press alt+o for format. You will see the format menu. 4. Press enter on font. 5. You only want to change one thing in the dialog that appears. In the font style box, use the arrow keys until you hear it say "bold". 6. press enter. that will close the dialog. You can then press enter on find next. When it finds an instance, press escape so you can actually work with the document. When you're ready for the next one, press control+f again. If you haven't done another search, you can just press enter on find next, and you'll go to the next instance. Repeat this as many times as necessary.
