How do I disable Nod 32?

Hi,
If that sounds like an unrelated Jaws question, well, I have downloaded the Jaws 7.1 version to install, but don't want to do it without disabling Nod 32 first.

I can't seem to find the pertinent information in the help files.

Or, do you install these days with a virus program still running?
