Homonym Dictionary

One of the major problems with using Dragon Naturally Speaking as a blind user
is the tendency of Naturally Speaking to confuse words that are spelled very
differently, but that sound the same, for example, two, to, and too.
Principal and principle, ensure and insure, and sail and sale all come to mind
immediately.
I just want to confirm my thinking here.
I have a text file with common homonyms on the left column followed by the
spelling of the word (each letter separated from the others by a space).
If I converted that into a custom dictionary for JAWS, wouldn't JAWS, in
effect, through this dictionary, spell the troublesome term instead of
uselessly pronouncing the word?
Of course, I wouldn't want this dictionary running all the time, but when
proofing a document I dictated through Naturally Speaking, this could be pretty
handy.
I actually did this back when I used Window-Eyes.
Any reason why this won't work in JAWS? I'm not all that familiar with JAWS
pronunciation dictionaries. Hence, I'm seeking your collective wisdom.
Anyone else have a better solution -- or idea for a solution to the homonym
problem?
  Thanks!
