Hi Claudia:

AVG Free Edition, available from this link:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/downloads-products/us/frt/0?prd=aff is what
I would recommend.  Simply click or press enter on the link above, then
look for a link that says "AVG 7.5 Free for Windows" and press enter on
it.  The file download dialog will come up asking if you want to run or
save the file, select run by up arrowing two times and pressing enter.
The product will download, then you'll get the Internet Explorer
Security warning about running .exe files.  Press R and the product will
install.  After it installs, check for updates and run a full scan of
your computer and you will be good to go.

Make sure you uninstall Norton first.  If I can be of help, give me a
