try pressing ins+z to turn off the virtual cursor and see if you can type.
you don't have to turn on forms mode when the virtual cursor is turned off.

Hi list.
I have a little problem with forms mode on the internet I check my msn
e-mail just about every day, and when I hit reply and turn on forms mode. I
can type, but if I try to backspace or read what I just rote. JAWS just
says blank. I am using jfw 5.0 and windows xp home and the latest version
of internet explorer.
If I could get some ideas on what to do It would be very helpful.
