I've never had a computer that jaws liked after it was in standby, I've just 
had to disable it, every time I reinstall windows on a computer or get a new 
one I forget that too and so not on purpose, I test it on each computer and 
it's never worked for me yet, I can only recommend not using standby. 
Depending on the laptop, it doesn't save a noticeable amount of battery 
anyway.
