Not necessarily true. If you set the display to advanced mode
(controll+m),
the computer scan option will be visible when you right click the systray
icon.

Also, they have added some security features, along with some
accessibility
ones. So you can navigate through the pop ups by pressing tab.
You will still need to use the Jaws curser for scanning your computer and
such.
