Just select one of the three links below depending on your OS (it must be a genuine copy of Windows), and your download of Microsoft Security Essentials should start immediately:

Windows XP 32-bit (8.61MB), Windows Vista/7 32-bit (4.28MB), Windows Vista/7 64-bit (4.71MB)number is 1.0.1611.

Hello Friends,
Does Microsoft Security Essentials, work with XP-Home and JAWS version 9.0156?

If so, it sounds pretty good.

However I wonder if it will be "free" forever?
I mean, is this one of those things, that are like a teaser or such?

Check out the report on the site below. Microsoft scored in the highest category (Advanced Plus), while Eset scored in the next highest category )Advanced).

    Hi Gerald,
That's good to know. Frankly, I'm really surprised to hear that the Microsoft package outscored Nod32. Do you know the URL where I can download it? I'll pass it along to people I know, and I'll keep it for reference when my Nod32 license runs out, which will be early next year. Thanks.

NOD32 is a good anti-virus program, but in a recent test, it was outscored by Microsoft Security Essentials, which is free and completely JAWS accessible. Like NOD32, it is totally unobtrusive and updates its malware definitions automatically. The only time you are aware of it is when it detects a threat, at which point you can choose to quarantine it or remove it completely. It's so easy even a caveman could use it.

        Hi Robert,
I've got Nod32 version 2.7 and have kept it updated with all the latest definitions and such. I like it because it's so unobtrusive; the only time I hear anything from it is when the definitions get updated. Other than that, I pretty much forget about it. Are you using a later version? How's the interface, is it accessible? I'd heard that version 3.0 had some accessibility issues, so I'd avoided it until I could find out how well it works. Thanks.

If you want something that works quietly in the background get Nod32. ----- Original Message ----- From: Helaine Blumenthal To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, November 04, 2009 8:28 PM

Can anyone suggest a good anti-virus program that works well with Jaws 11?
