If you have a jaws window, press alt+o while focused on that menu, you need 
the basics dialog, open that and the first controll group is the one you 
need.  arrow through it to turn these help messages off.  press enter and 
you are done.

If you don't have a jaws window, press jaws key+j and right arrow to the 
basics menu and press enter and arrow through the radio buttons to turn off 
these help messages.  While there, look around in the dialog and see if 
there is anything else you want to silence or change.
