Mark, Basically you have two options and they both suck. One of them is the calendar and contact manager in Outlook not Outlook express, this is the one I use. The other option would be to try Gold Mine. It's pretty cloodgy but you might have some luck with it. I thought about trying to hack something together with access but haven't gotten around to that project yet. Isn't it strange that JAWS is the acronym for "Job Access for Windows" and FS is absolutely clueless when it comes to contact management software. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mark Alexander Sent: Sunday, January 20, 2008 2:26 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Contact Database Compatibility I recently purchased a new computer with VISTA OS and it required I upgrade my contact Database, ACT 4.0 to ACT 2007. ACT 2007 is next to impossible to use due to frames/panes/ & many other issues which I do not seem to be able to find a way to navigate to the area of the records I must access or even able to locate specific records. Does anyone out there use a contact database which is accessible. I've used ACT 4.0 for many, many years and think I must now find another dimilar contact database to track my customers. Features I need in a contact database are the usual fields for customer information, ability to set alarms for call backs & meetings, ability to create notes within a contact. All of which were easily accessible inACT 4.0 but are much to confusing with no apparent logic in ACT 2007. If anyone is using a contact database similar, kindly let me know your choice(s).
