Yeah, but personally I use a lot lotus symphony and it is accessible. Also, it is free. In fact, it is on the jaws help files. I don't even know if it has a scripting language you can use. My guess is that FS has been around longer and has more built in functions available. Open office is another interesting suggestion. I know not everyone can afford to shell out money for MS office. There has been the possibility of using google docs too. It would be nice to stick to the free category. Good one. ----- Original Message ----- From: Daniel McGee To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, March 27, 2011 10:30 AM Subject: Coding Open Office Hi everyone, just adding another suggestion to the list. I would like to be able to use Open Office.org with Jaws. I really can't understand why FS make things that are going to be great like Research it. Although it's handy to find out a word, with a keystroke or two there are times when you just get no definition off of it. The only thing I really appreciate them doing is the vertural ribbon introduced into Jaws 12 with office applications. Also I am suggesting Open Office.org because mainly it's free! Just my thoughts Thanks for your very kind offer Jon. p.s. Not to get too off topic but I was just wondering about another question. Basicly with scripting which I have no knowledge of I just wondered one thing and that is: Is jaws easier to script than another Screenreader which I will just mention once it's called NVDA it uses Pithan code but the name is the only thing I know. Which in your view is the easiarist Screenreader to script with a programme. Daniel Yadiel J. Sotomayor E-MAIL: yadosotomayor@xxxxxxxxxxx
