Hello, what is the key combonation for I think it is clearing out the jaws
memory. With beta 2 if I leave my computer running all day and nite during
that time things with jaws get slower and slower and they are fine again if
I do a shutdown and start again of my pc. I recall there was a key combo to
clear out that memory without having to shut down.
Anyone know what it is?
thanks

Hi Dennis,

Stephen Greeley was able to reproduce my punctuation problem, and it is
listed as #46375 in their database. Since they are now finished testing
with my system, I can go ahead and force the JAWS cursor to the desired
punctuation level following your suggested method. Thanks!

Hi Gary,
Until the FS team gets your punctuation problem fixed, you can do the
following:
1. Hit Insert+0 to launch Script Manager, then Control+Shift+D to load
default.
2. Hit Control+L to get a list of scripts, and find JawsCursor.
3.
; Put this line in JawsCursor script in default.jss...
SetJcfOption (OPT_PUNCTUATION, 3); All punctuation spoken

4. Find PcCursor script...
; Put this line in PcCursor script in default.jss so it sets punctuation
back
; when exiting JawsCursor
SetJcfOption (OPT_PUNCTUATION, 1); Almost no punctuation spoken

5. Hit Control+S to compile.

At least it will allow you to get the punction level until FS fixes it.
HTH!

Thanks,
Dennis Brown

Today I learned how to get around the problem with the JAWS Dictionary
Manager while using DECtalk Access32. This speech synthesizer doesn't
inform JAWS what language it is speaking. Therefore, you must leave the
combo box set to All Languages in order to have your entries spoken. I
would suspect that this problem may also occur with other older speech
synthesizers.

I still don't have the punctuation problem straightened out, but FS is
working with me to solve it. Meanwhile, I'll just have to continue using
the Global Adjustment dialog to change all the voices from Most Punctuation
to Some Punctuation. However, I would really like to have my JAWS Cursor
punctuation set to All Punctuation so that I can examine things in detail
when necessary.

The 2 bugs I reported in Beta 1 don't seem to be fixed in Beta 2. I still
can't use the Individual Voice Adjustment dialog to set punctuation for the
individual voices. I still have to use the Global Voice Adjustment dialog
if I want to change from the default punctuation level.

The JAWS Dictionary still doesn't list all of the speech synthesizers that
JAWS supports. The result is that if I use one of the unlisted
synthesizers, such as DECtalk Access32, the exceptions I entered are not
spoken. This is true even when I leave the selection on All Synthesizers.

Very disappointing! I like the addition of the Tandem feature, but I do
wish they would fix the features they broke. I read through the list of
fixes, and it seemed rather small.
