Braille settings & Jaws 6

Hi,
I installed Jaws 6 today, and things seem to be running okay.
I have an Alva 340 Braille display. I have found most settings to get it to
display the way I want, but there is a noticeable lag time in some places
before the display comes up with text.
If anyone can tell me how to remedy this, I would appreciate it.
