hmmm, try this and see if jaws is asleep:
1: press insert plus 0 to bring up the configuration manager
2: press shift+ctrl+d to load the default configuration
3: press alt+s for the settings menu
4: press a for the advance settings
5: press the spacebar now to uncheck sleep enabled to uncheck the box.
6: press ctrl+s to save then alt+f4 to exit. you
may have speech from jaws now, i hope.
