VY,

I copied the following tip from another list. I'm running Word
2000 and so can't test it for Word 2002, but maybe it will work for
you or at least give you a starting point.
Margaret

"To alphabetize your bibliography,
1. highlight all the items using the appropriate word selection keys.
For
example, if the bibliography is the last item in your document, place
the
cursor on the first item of the bibliography and do a shift plus
control
plus "end" key (number 1 on numeric key pad) and this will highlight
or
select all the items from the cursor to the end of your document.
2. Now bring up the menu bar with the alt key, then press the letter A
for
the table menu, and down arrow to sort and press the enter key or use
the
hot key "s".
3. Now you are in the sort dialogue box and enter on "paragraph" and
as long
as each item of the bibliography is just one paragraph, word will sort
the
list using the first letter of each entry which I assume would be the
first
letter of the last name. Tip, while in the sort dialogue box, use
windows
help (shift key plus F1) to give you some help about each control in
the
dialogue box as you tab through the dialogue box.
4. Now your list is sorted and you can press an arrow key to remove
the
highlighting.
5. Note, if as you review how the sort worked out, if it sorts
correctly, do
a control plus letter S to save your change but if the sort is in an
incorrect way, you can undo your sort by pressing control key plus
letter Z
or close your document but do not save changes.
There is also a helpful hint on the JFWLite web page talking about
this
process."

Hi,
I am using word 2002. I suppose to do a bibliography for my research
paper. I wonder is there a way to make word put the information in
alphabetical order? Can you give me a step by step directions?
