Apostrophe and Quotation Marks Not "Seen" by JFWin MS Word

To Hal and Other Listers:
Just an FYI: Not long ago, I posted a message complaining that the apostrophe
and quotation mark sometimes are not recognized with JFW 6.20 in Microsoft
Word, on one particular XP machine I have?thus leading to the mispronunciation
of certain words and expressions. You asked me to get back to you about this,
so I am doing it.
First of all, the suggestion to save the document (F12) or to refresh the
screen (Ins+Esc) did not work. I found that the only way I could fix this was
to uninstall JFW 6.20 completely, simultaneously removing all shared components
and customized settings for my desired XP user profile, then to reinstall JFW.
This has caused fewer occurrences of the annoyance with apostrophe and quote,
though it still occurs sometimes.
Not the biggest problem in the world, to be sure. But just thought a few folks
might like to know.
