Yes, I have a Belkin USB hub with a serial port on it that I am using a
DecTalk through. You may have to play with the com ports to find out
which one to use with the Dectalk. I am currently set to com 4. Good
luck.=20

Subject: Anyone have experience with a USB-to-RS-232 for a DecTalk?

Has anyone used a DecTalk serial synth through the USB port with one of
=3D those converters and is is successful? I have just joined
for-the-people =3D but Jaws with eloquence overpowers the chat and I =
can
find no way to =3D turn Jaws down without turning the chat down. I have =
a
DecTalk and a =3D LiteTalk, There is a parallel port on the LiteTalk =
which
I may be able =3D to use if I can figure out how I suppose. This =
ThinkPad
doesn't have an =3D
RS-232 port.

Any help or advice is appreciated.
