Admin: The case of the spammy mailings.

Folks,
I'm investigating if there's a way I can prevent the incident that occured
yesterday from occuring again, however as of this moment I have very little
actual information on what exactly happened. I do know someone's email
address was faked, not necessarily although it's possible from his own
computer via a virus or other such mechanism. I also know the email in
question appeared to come from an IP address different from his usual. As of
right now, however, that's all I know. However, it was made clear the owner
of that email address was not responsible for sending that particular
mailing to the list, so I'd appreciate it if the thread was allowwed to
rest. If you have any further concerns regarding yesterday's small problem,
please take them to me off-list. Thank you.
