Adobe Acrobat 5 doesn't take a plug in. The accessibility plug in is only needed for adobe acrobat version 4. But anyway, what makes you say that you think you need a newer verson of the reader? What kind of problems did you have opening the PDF? I'm not sure a newer version of the reader would help you, it might be something about the PDF.
