I recently ran across a program called RegistryFix, which looked as though it would be quite helpful in deep-cleaning and scanning my Windows XP registry. Unfortunately, it turned out to be mostly inaccessible, as I could not detect or click on the button to command the program to run. This was frustrating. Does anybody recommend a particularly good and accessible program for doing this kind of preventive maintenance on the registry that goes deeper than just the Windows error-checking and defrag utilities? I did use System Mechanic 3 in the past, but I imagine this version is outdated now.
