yep that is it just read that on the site and in the message that was sent.
if people would bother to read before they post such ridiculous things the
world would be a better place.

I'm not aware of having received any such message. Are you sure you aren't
using the last version of AVG Free Edition, and Grisoft was notifying you
that the older version won't be supported after January begins, so you'd
better upgrade already? That's what I heard was going around recently. I'm
upgraded already, and not long ago, so I don't think AVG Free Edition is
about to disappear!

anybody know something I don't about this? Sounds like a pretty unlikely
surprise.

Subject: AVG Free going away?

Hey Guys!

Did any of you receive the same Thanksgiving gift that I did this
morning? Namely, the notice on my task bar, with a message informing me
that AVG Free is going away as of January 2007?

Is that true? Are there any more truly free antivirus programs left
anymore that are also accessible with Jaws? I mean, I feel cheated... I
just tossed Norton last year, and have had a blissful year of having free
protection, with a truly accessible antivirus program!

Maybe it is just me, but it seems like when those people start getting
paid every month, it kind of makes them less sharp and on their toes...
don't you think? You know, like the money actually makes them a bit lazy at

keeping that sharp edge to their business?

Okay, so two questions. First, does anyone know if the notice that AVG
Free antivirus is going away in January is true, and secondly, does anyone
have any suggestions about a free antivirus program, that is accessible with

Jaws?

If not, what is everyone using on the paid side of things, that is an
accessible antivirus program?

Thanks, guys, you are the very best!

Billy
