Hi,
Steve mentioned, that Native Access can be navigated by using touch
cursor. it means it is a so called "modern app", which means it uses not
the old, windowed controls, but the new, UIA ones. To determine these
controls you can use the built-in JAWS UIA tree explorer utility. You
have to press HomeRowKey+Control+Window+O. I recommend you to take a
look on Keyboard Manager. If you start it by pressing JAWSKey+F2 and
choose from the displayed list, in the left-side list you have to search
default (by pressing simply the D key) and in the right-side listview
search for script names beginning with utility". Every utility function
is for scripters to help determine screen objects. The above mentioned
keycombination will start the script, which will list you the UIA tree
of the focused object in the invisible buffer window of JAWS.

Hi list members, someone mentioned window spy programs a while ago but i'm__________
not sure how they work and which ones would be good in helping us to better
script unknown applications? P.S. is there also a way to unhide hidden
windows within the application that you want to script. P.S. where do the
window classes come in and how do you determin whether an item is a button
and how do you activate the button would you write something that would bring
focus to that button then let say that when you bring focus to a button you
would say press enter to activate the button if this makes any since? These
are just some questions that I have concerning writing jawsscripts for
nativeaccess using jaws.
