I've been feeding some of your comments on MuseScore to one of their
developers on the MuseScore forum (Marc) so that we might have a better idea
of what is going on under the hood and/or they might be able to do something
on their side to improve how JAWS works with the app natively.
Anyway, he had some questions about the beta version that you were using:
"Thanks for the info, but I find it confusing. Can you ask your contact
which versions specifically (Help / About) he is testing? There should be no
appreciable difference between the latest stable version (3.3.4) and the
current beta (3.4). Both use Qt 5.9.8. So both should work equally well with
NVDA, which is to say, extremely well - we have many users using 3.3.4
successfully, and I see no reason it should be any different with 3.4 beta.
But I will try to check that for myself soon."
If you are interested in pursuing this much further you might want to join
the MuseScore forum so that you can directly connect with him. Seems like
you've done a fair amount of work on this already.
I'll try to find some time to test out your scripts this weekend and let you
know how it goes.
