---quote---
Microsoft Office Document Imaging cannot import a/an "Adobe Acrobat
Document" file. Open the file in its native program and then use "Microsoft
Office Document Image Writer" to print the file.
---unquote---

This writer will appear in the Printers drop down list in Acrobat (and
Word) if you have the Document Imaging tool installed on your machine.
Don't check the 'Print to file' checkbox when you print. The printer will
actually convert the entire pdf file to a tiff image which can then be
opened in MS Office Document Imaging for OCR.
