Hi,

If you are on Powerbraille then I believe you need to be on the 32-bit edition
of Windows 7 as in 64-bit version of Jaws the drivers are limited. O2k3 will
work with Windows 7 I believe if all updates are applied. It is better to
apply the updates before running any of the apps - i.e, do a Windows Update
after installing Office.

Without the Powerbraille requirement I would have said go 64-bit, no brainer.
A lot of manufacturers are now putting 64-bit on their kit, so if you are
buying new then be careful. If you are upgrading the current kit then make
sure it meets the minimum requirements and drivers etc are compatible.

Andrew.

Subject: [jaws-uk] windows 7 again

Hi all:
I am being forced to change to Windows 7 by a software supplier of specialist
software for my profession.
I don't know whether to upgrade to the 32 or 64 bit version.
In addition to the industry software I would prefer to use office 2003.

Further, which modern 40 and 80 cell displays would anyone recommend - I
currently use the PowerBraille series with which I am very happy.

TIA
