The two ideal settings are 75 percent Zoomtext and set the view to "normal"
in MS Word. As it is Office 2k I would advise getting Office upgraded to
service pack 2 if you could. You may wish to check on the resolution,
though this largely becoming unimportant with most video cards you would be
wise to keep it at about 1024 by 758 for best operation. Sometimes you find
that a toolbar is blocking text and the best way to deal with those is to go
into the "view" menu and then down to "toolbars" then right arrow into the
list, the only two that should be checked are standard and formatting, if
others are checked arrow down to them and press the enter key on each to
uncheck them.

Hope that may be useful.

Regards.

Subject: [jaws-uk] split screen

Hi listers

At college we have a strange problem.
If we set the zoom to 75 percent as I understand that is the preferred
setting for JAWS the screen will split and causes all sorts of problem. Has
anyone else ever come across this?
We are using windows XP home, JAWS 5.10 and office 2000.

Any comments would be appreciated

Best wishes

Debbie
