Matthew,
Hi,
For those using a Dongle and ILM, the Sentinel System Driver is essential. Also, it does no harm for it to be installed - I have it
installed myself and no dongle. So really, I'd argue it should be lefrt as it is.

Tris,
So you're saying it's always installed automatically with every single licence and it's up to us to know that and turn the thing off!
If that's right I'd suggest that FS should modify their programming because, if someone hadn't asked that question, we'd all be using our computers with that driver still available. it's not really for us to know all these things and go around modifying their programmes, or is it???
Apologies if I have the wrong concept of what you're saying. Perhaps you'd confirm whether everyone should be doing this or if it's only necessary under certain conditions and, if so, what they are?
Thanks.

There is a sentinal driver installed with Jaws single user editions that
looks for a USB dongle, if you don;t use one of these with your Jaws you
should go into the Jaws "installation maintenance" link under the "Jaws 6.0" group and use the "modify" option to remove it there.

Subject: [jaws-uk] sentinel system driver
Hi friends,
I looked yesterday at add/remove programs in the control panel and found
this: "sentinel system driver" I didn't have it before. What is it? Do I have to remove it? I bought a ups hardware and installed its driver but is is called: winpower. Is there any connection to that? Any information is greatly appreciated.
