[jaws-uk] select all

hello
for some reason jaws says selected on everything i choose
for example if i use c dex to choose some tracks from a cd whenever i press the
up and down arrow key jaws says selected
this is on all tracks and it happens on skype as well
surely this is not right?
should jaws not say anything or at least say unselected until i press the space
bar?
can someone tell me how to adjust this so that jaws does not say selected on
all choices
