There might be an easier way, but this is how I do it:
1. Alt t for tools
2. o for options
3. Shift tab once to get to the *general* tab
4. Right arrow three times to the *sent* tab
5. Alt e for plain text or alt s for html depending what you use
6. Tab four times and uncheck *Indent original text with*
7. Tab once to *ok* and you're done.
