Hi Muhammed
Hmm, I can't explain why that's happening, so can't provide a solution.
But to remove the change, press Insert + D to open the JAWS dictionary. Tab
once to a list of entries and DownArrow until you find the one you want to
delete, then Tab to a Delete button and press it. You have to confirm the
deletion, then press Alt + F4 to close the dictionary.
I did report the original problem to Freedom Scientific and they suggested I
speak to Sight and Sound about it. Haven't done that yet,
Steve

Hi Steave,
I change the entry spacemarker to space, but the problem is that now when you
press space bar it also pronouncesspacemarker. in addition, for spaces between
words, instead of reading the spaces silent, it announce spacemarker after
every word in a sentence. kindly provide solution. or tel me how to remove the
changes that we make to jaws dictionary.
With best regards.

Hi Muhammed,
While in Word, press Insert + D to open the JAWS dictionary. You'll
be on an Add button; press it and a dialogue will open. Type
spacemarker into the first edit, tab to the second and press the
spacebar, then press Enter to close the dialogue and Alt + F4 to
close the dictionary.
You should find those annoying messages don't get read any more.
Thanks,

Hi Steve,
Many thanks for your feedback. I am using Jaws17 with windo10 on HP
ultrabook. your solution seems to be helpful for this problem. I have
never tried with jaws dictionary. can you pleaz guide on how to do it
from there?
Best wishes.

Hi Muhammad,
I get the same as you, using Word 2016 and JAWS 17 on Windows 7
Enterprise.
One way to get rid of this extra information is to add the word
spacemarker to the JAWS dictionary and replace it with a space, but
of course that might not be a solution if you need that information
to be vocalised in other situations.
Let me know if you need help with the JAWS dictionary.
This looks like a bug which I'll feed back to Freedom Scientific. If
you let me know the versions of JAWS, Word and Windows you're on,
I'll add that to my feedback.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Jamie,
Many thanks for your thoughts. you are right, while generating a
simple table of content for a report the standard process is
exactly the same as you said. but, I am generating a table of
content which has more than 50 or 100 entries depending on the
length of the transcript.
in fact, it was done to provide an alternative to visually impaired
people to analyse qualitative data till the time when QSR NVivo is
not accessible.

Hi Muhammad,
I could not get my version of Word to replicate this issue,
however, when I generate Tables of Contents, I tend to do this by
typing up all the document text first, inserting appropriate
Heading1, Heading2 and
Heading3 styles, and then I generate the Table of Contents feature
under the "References" tab to insert the item all at once.
I don't know if this will make any difference for you but it's
worth a try.
Jamie
P.S. Can't help with the Microsoft Access question.

Hi all,
I am creating a table of codes in a words file with a command
control+shift+i which sends the code to the table of content in the
file. however, the problem is that when I go back to the text it
reads "spacemarker" after each word in the plain text. I know that
control+shift+8 is the command to keep the text fre from all the
additional simbles added to the plain text after generating a
table of content entry, but this problem of jaws saying space
marker after every word still persists. can anyone help?
second, does anyone on the list know about some tutorials on M access?
thanking in advance.
