Hi Joan,

I'm not Adrian but I think that these notes might help you.

When you click on a link to a download on SourceForge, you are presented
with a page containing a number of mirrors from where you may download the
file. Normally, one chooses a link to the mirror site which is
geographically closest to you. Each link to a mirror site is, in terms of
Jaws speech at least, preceded by a check box which you need to check for
the site you want.

Having chosen the site, you are taken to a page which attempts to download
the file but contains a message indicating that if the download does not
start, to click the link associated with the message.

The sound which you probably heard is most likely a popup which you can read
by pressing alt+n, that is n for number rather than m for mouse; then press
the space bar. Now you will be given a menu from which you may choose
download. Press enter on download and your download should start as normal.

Adrian,

Thanks for the link to the free Daisy player.

I think my problem is a general one. I am not allowed to download it as MS
gives me a message that it might contain problems or similar wording and
there is a sound played.

Obviously I want to alter the settings to stop this happening but I don't
know which settings to alter.

I've found this problem with other sites too and it's a nuisance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Best wishes,

Joan.
