Hi Amie,

In theory, Jaws will work with the newer version of Firefox.  However, I think
you would need to have the latest Jaws.  With Jaws 16 you may well be better
off with an older Firefox, but I don't know where you would find a copy.  Did
you by any chance keep Firefox version 52 from your previous installation?
If not, perhaps the download will be in your Recycle Bin.

Regards.

Ian

Hi Ian
Thank you very much for that.  So this means that I can allow it to update to
60 safely?  Last time I checked, 60 was the version to avoid, but this has been
fixed now?  Oh, also, is 60 usable with JAWS 16, my version, or must I still
avoid it?
Anyway thank you again; 52 is the magic number.  Fab.

Hi Amie,

The ESR version you refer to was 52.  Now the ESR edition is up to version 60.
Hence, it is essentially the same as the latest version of Firefox from an
accessibility point of view.

Having said that, I thought Jaws was supposed to work reasonably well with the
latest Firefox these days.

Regards.

Ian

Subject: [jaws-uk] Which version of Firefox

Hi list
Can somebody please very kindly resend me the link to the JAWS accessible
version of Firefox?  I've just stupidly allowed it to update itself and can't
remember which version is the usable one, which I must now refind in order to
insist Firefox keeps on being accessible.

Many thanks for any help.

Amie
