Dear Bob, Alexander and Rashid,

Thanks for confirming that the new hot key is unique to my system.  My
operating system is XP Professional in Italian.  I don't think the fact that
it is in Italian should make any difference to the programme code but
sometimes it does seem to.  My fault for wanting English Jaws on an Italian
system.

I'll admit that this is unlikely but you never know!
If you are using windows 7 and catch control + windows + 1 by mistake 
you will open the first item pinned to your taskbar if this is Jaws this 
could explain it.

Otherwise I cant think of anything!
