Only one version of JAWS can be running at any one moment, so the
behaviour you describe is what it does. You need to make a keyboard
shortcut to JAWS6.1, as others have stated.

Dear all,
Jaws 610, 7, and XP.
My question concerns switching Jaws versions.
I have just installed version 7, and still have 610 installed.
How do I please switch from one version to another. Version 7 now
starts,
but when I go into 610 in that group in Programs on the Start menu, and
Enter on Jaws, it still gives me version 7. Is this right, or should I
be
able to switch to 610 from here?
