That is really strange. I just tried it again in word 2003. I press alt
control E and jaws says euro.
And I went into the symbols dialog and found the euro symbol and looked at
the keyboard shortcut for it and is alt control e.

When I try control alt e, it gives me é (e with an acute accent over it).
