I have found that the best way to deal with this is to go to the Freelists website and change my status for each group directly.

Recently I went away for three weeks and wished to suspend mail. I sent a message to jaws-uk-request with "vacation" in the subject line. I got an autoreply saying that my mail would resume in two weeks' time, which indeed it did, so I got a week's worth of unwanted messages when I returned home. Anyone know why the vacation thing doesn't last until you unset it?

Hi all.

Does anybody know if you can temporarily stop receiving e-mails from this
list, for example when going on holiday, other than by unsubscribing and then 
re-subscribing again.

If this can be done, how do I go about it.
