Dear Barbara,
It sounds like the spelling error detection option in the Jaws Options (jaws
key + v) has been changed to "on plus count". Your friend should change it
to "on" and jaws should revert to its old behaviour.

Hi
I have received a vague problem from a friend. I cannot physically get to
their PC to have a look for myself. They aren't very computer literate, so
can only give limited details of the issue and their set up. They are using
JAWS 7 and Windows XP with an old version of MS Office, but I am not sure
which.
I know this leaves a lot of unanswered questions, but I promised to ask on
their behalf, so no probs if we can't get any answers.
When typing in Word, JAWS used to announce misspelt word so they could make
changes. Now it just announces at the end of the line so many errors, but
gives no details of which words contain the errors.
This doesn't make sense to me, can anyone shed light on it?
