Dear phil,

Thank you very much for your reply. It seem to have worked. I'm very
grateful.

With best wishes,

Keith

Dear Keith,
The way you are reaching your drives is very good and quick, you say you are
landing half way down the list? On first landing do an Alt V then I then
enter on By Name to put them in order, there after try pressing "spacebar"
it should put you at the beginning.
Get back to me if you need anymore information.
Phill

Dear Barry,

I use the Run Command, because for me, at least, it is by far the fastest
way of doing things.

I have nine drives on my computer, from A, to J,
I simply press Windows Key and R, for Run, followed by the drive letter,
followed by colon and enter, and I am immediately on that drive.

I would otherwise have to go to the Desktop, or wherever Windows Explorer is
located, open it, locate the drive letter, and enter on it.

I have always used the Run command.

But, if anyone can sort my problem out, of landing halfway down the folder
list, I'd be very grateful. It's most annoying and, as I say, it didn't
happen in either Windows 95 or 98.

With best wishes,

Keith

I can't help you with your query, but I am curious as to why you use the run
command to get into the folders and not Windows Explorer.

Dear all,

Jaws 7, XP.

I think I may have raised this point some time before, but I can't recall
any answers, so I'll try again.

This is a phenomenon I am experiencing since using XP. I should say that
have set everything to FS's recommendations.

I have various drives on my computer, all containing lists of folders.

I use the Run command to get to these various folder lists.

Very often, instead of the PC cursor landing at the top of the folder list,
it lands halfway down.

On interrogating the colour of the line I am on, I find it is white on
midnight blue, and this colour applies to all lines, except the one above
that on which I have landed. The colour of this line is white on navy.

This colour, I believe, is related to the mouse which is hovering somewhere
close. I can move the mouse away by pressing the Jaws cursor, doing a page
up, and then home, but it is most annoying to have to do this every time I
land on a folder list.

Does anyone else have this problem, do they know what is causing it, and is
there a way of stopping it from happening, please?

With best wishes,

Keith
