I have asked a friend who still uses her optacon, and she told me the
following. Hope it is of some help.
The person who services optacons is David Godfrey who used to work, and
maybe still does work, for Blazie Engineering.
I know a few years ago he had batteries specially made by a local firm in
Swindon.
